Angela places in St. Anthony’s tri

She preps for another 70.3 race

If you're a Punk Rock Racing athlete and you're prepping for St. Croix Ironman 70.3, what do you do? Well, if you're Angela Naeth, you compete in an Olympic triathlon the weekend before the race.

Angela placed sixth in last Sunday's St. Anthony's Triathlon, against some rather stiff competition. Her average bike speed was 25.3 mph, and she finished the 10k run in 36:22 -- an average pace of 5:52 per mile. Only six seconds separated her from fifth place, 12 seconds from fourth place and less than a minute from third place. (The second-place woman was just 1:03 faster than Angela.) In other words, it was an extremely close race.

The race was a good practice run for this weekend's half-ironman event in St. Croix. Best of luck to Angela, who three months ago won Ironman 70.3 Panama:
