Angela wins another half-ironman

Second win in two weeks!

We're starting to wonder if Angela Naeth is human. After all, who wins a 70.3-mile triathlon, then flies across the country and does it again two weeks later? The answer: A Punk Rock Racing athlete, that's who.

Last Sunday, Angela headed to Oregon for the Rev3 Portland half-ironman-distance race. She was in fourth place after the 1.2-mile swim (completing it in 31:23), but then Angela did what she does best: She headed out on the 56-mile bike ride and left everyone behind, recording the race's fastest bike split of the day in 2:28:30. And then she ran a 1:25:37 half-marathon to truly seal her win.

Angela's winning time of 4:27:27 put her more than two minutes ahead of the second-place finishe, and nine minutes ahead of third place.

For those who can't keep up with all of Angela's recent wins, this was her fifth in 2012:

She also took second place in Abu Dhabi in March. For some perspective: Angela used to make headlines with her second-place "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" finishes. Now she's simply winning races outright. Well done, Angela.
