Audra takes on Kona Ironman

Despite injury, she delivers a solid performance

Congratulations to Punk Rock Racing athlete Audra Adair on her impressive 10:54:55 finish at the Ironman World Championship in Kona this past weekend.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Audra, who was struggling with a pre-race injury that left her wondering if she would even be able to start the race, let alone finish. On race morning, she decided to give it a go but was prepared to withdraw from the race if need be.

After exiting the water in 1:20:17, Audra delivered an impressive 5:34:53 bike split before heading out on the run (her strongest discipline). She was able to keep her injury at bay and ran a respectable 3:52:33 marathon and was the 191st woman to cross the finish line in Kona with a time of 10:54:55.

Well done, Audra!
